2 Dead in Rocklin, Investigation Underway

Rocklin, Calif. – As of 7:00 this morning, February 27, 2016, officers have completed processing the scene in the 3600 block of Sunset Boulevard.  The two decedents have been released to the custody of the Placer County Coroner’s Office.  The identities of the two decedents is being withheld at this time until positive identification of both subjects can be made.  This case is still being investigated as suspicious deaths due to the circumstances.   

On February 26, 2016, at about 2:13 pm, Rocklin Police responded to the 3600 block of Sunset Blvd. after receiving a call requesting for a welfare check.  When officer’s arrived on scene they located two deceased bodies inside an apartment.

The deceased have been determined to be a male in his 20’s and a female in her 50’s.  The names of the decedents are being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.  The cause of the deaths are yet to be determined, but due to the circumstances it is considered suspicious at this time, and the investigation is on-going.
