Auburn, Calif.- Six adults are being criminally charged for their involvement in a drug lab that resulted in a mobile home fire last Thursday evening in Auburn.
Placer County Sheriff’s detectives were called to the scene on Friday after CDF fire officials found evidence of a drug lab at the double-wide mobile home that had burned to the ground. Detectives located the makings of a butane honey oil lab, where highly flammable butane is used to extract THC from marijuana.
The resulting product is honey oil, which is then smoked. Â
Charges are being filed with the Placer County District Attorney’s Office. Names of those involved will not be released as they haven’t yet been formally charged. The charges include manufacturing a controlled substance, felony child endangerment, maintaining a drug house, conspiracy and causing an unlawful fire.
Two small children were living in the trailer when the fire occurred.
