Rocklin, Calif.- The Sierra College Foundation’s fourth annual ‘A Taste of Excellence’ raised more than $160,000 to support programs and students at Sierra College.
The event, which drew more than 450 people to the Hewlett-Packard Complex, featured more than 40 fine restaurants and wineries, as well as a silent and live auction.
Wells Fargo sponsored this year’s affair, which has raised more than $650,000 since its inaugural event in 2005. Money raised from the event will go toward Sierra College scholarships and the campus-wide wireless Internet project.
‘We are thrilled and honored by the enthusiasm for this year’s event, and we couldn’t have done it without the help of Wells Fargo,’ said Sonbol Aliabadi, executive director of the Sierra College Foundation. ‘Because of the generosity of our community, we raised an amazing amount of money that will support our efforts to enhance students’ education at Sierra College.’
