Ashlee Barton joins Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe

New Director of Sales and Marketing

Incline Village, Nevada – Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino, a scenic lakefront resort located on the shores of North Lake Tahoe, announces Ashlee Barton as director of sales and marketing. She joins the resort from Hyatt Regency San Francisco where she served as associate director of sales.

“We are thrilled to welcome Ashlee Barton to the team at Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe,” said Michael Murphy, general manager at Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino. “Ashlee brings an immense about of experience and expertise working in sales and the hospitality industry. Her background paired with her passion for leadership and mentorship made her the perfect person for this position, and we look forward to her goals for the property coming to fruition.”

Experienced in hospitality

With more than 15 years working in the hospitality industry, Barton began her career as an event coordinator at Redmond Marriott Town Center Hotel in Redmond, Wash. She was quickly promoted within Marriott to corporate sales manager, then to senior sales manager for the western region where she was responsible for sales with all Renaissance, JW Marriott, and other full-service Marriott hotels in Washington, Oregon, Utah, Colorado, and Northern California.

Prior to transferring to Hyatt, Barton worked as an account director for group sales with Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc. where she managed all of the company’s local, corporate, tech, and Northwest clients. Barton began working with Hyatt in 2018 as an associate director of sales at Hyatt Regency San Francisco.

“Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe is such a beautiful and distinctive destination, and I am very excited to join the property as director of sales and marketing,” said Barton. “In addition to bringing more awareness to the resort as the ideal Lake Tahoe destination among both leisure and group guests, I am very excited to work with my team to provide them with motivation and support to ensure that they love coming to work each and every day.”

Barton graduated from Washington State University where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Hospitality Business Management.
