SACRAMENTO, CA- Special Agent in Charge Drew Parenti, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced today the arrests of Zachary O Jenson, age 20, of Monroe, WA, Lauren Weiner, age 20, of Philadelphia, PA and Eric Taylor McDavid, age 28 of Foresthill, CA. The arrests took place in a shopping center parking lot in Auburn, CA.
Jenson, Weiner, and McDavid were arrested based on evidence indicating they were plotting, on behalf of the Earth Liberation Front, to use explosives to destroy facilities associated with the United States Forest Service as well as unspecified cell phone towers and unspecified power generation facilities.

Based on the investigation conducted to date, there is no information to indicate there is an immediate danger to public welfare or safety.
This long term investigation was a collaborative effort by various Federal, State, and Local law enforcement agencies comprising the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) as well as assistance from the US Forest Service and the California Department of Fire and Forestry. The matter will be prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of California.
