Homewood Mountain Resort Holiday Events and Special Offers

Black Friday and Cyber Monday Sales, Christmas Tree Lighting and New Year’s Eve Parties

HOMEWOOD, Calif. – With the holidays and ski season rapidly approaching, Homewood Mountain Resort is gearing up for Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales, its annual Christmas Tree Lighting Party, and parties–both for families and adult revelers–to ring in 2020 on New Year’s Eve.

“The countdown to winter has begun at Homewood, and we can’t wait to welcome skiers and riders back for another incredible season,” said Kevin Mitchell, general manager of Homewood Mountain Resort. “Snowmaking has begun and we will continue to make snow as weather and conditions allow. Thanks to our expanded snowmaking capabilities, we hope to open more terrain earlier and are focused on building a high quality snow surface for our guests to enjoy all season long.”

Black Friday / Cyber Monday Specials

The resort is making it easy for guests to take advantage of the best value on skiing and snowboarding this season with Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. Starting at 7:00 a.m. on Black Friday (11/29) through 7:00 p.m. on Cyber Monday (12/2), guests can purchase $64 mid-week, non-holiday lift tickets at Homewood (valid Monday through Friday on non-holiday dates after Jan. 6, 2020).

Homewood High & Dry Marina and the West Shore Cafe, located across the street from Homewood Mountain Resort will also offer Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. The Marina will feature 50% off general boat maintenance diagnostics, up to a $140 value. West Shore Cafe will offer a 25% off lodging special and a $30 gift card to guests who purchase two tickets to the annual New Year’s Eve Party.

Winter at the West Shore Cafe

All season long, West Shore Cafe, located lakeside directly across the street from Homewood Mountain Resort, will bring back its complementary Apres S’mores from 4:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. every Friday through Monday this winter and during holidays. Apres Ski Specials featuring $5 draft beer, $5 house wine and $3 off specialty cocktails and a limited lunch menu will also be offered from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday through Sunday and during holidays.

This year, Homewood Mountain Resort and West Shore Cafe will celebrate the holiday season with a variety of events designed for the whole family. Activities include:

Tree Lighting & Holiday Dinner Toy Drive – December 13

A fun evening for guests of all ages, West Shore Cafe will host its annual tree lighting on the pier, and dinner celebrating the holiday season and the restaurant’s first day of winter dinner service. Featuring the new winter seasonal menu crafted by Executive Chef Robb Wyss, the evening will also include Christmas tree ornament crafting, photos with Santa Claus, Christmas caroling with the Peanuts Gang Trio and the holiday tree lighting ceremony at 7:30 p.m. at the end of the pier. Guests are also encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy to benefit the local chapter of Toys for Tots. Dining guests who bring toy donations valued at $25 and up will receive 10% off their bill (excluding alcohol).

New Year’s Eve Dinner – December 31

Ring in the New Year at West Shore Cafe and enjoy a special dinner menu, live music, party favors and champagne toasts. Two seatings accommodate both families and adult revelers looking for an evening to remember. Family-friendly service is offered from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Adults are $90, kids ages 12 and under are $25 each. Designed for guests ages 21+, the second seating includes live music by Jeff Jones and is available from 8:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. with tickets priced at $120 per person. Tax and 20% gratuity will be added to all tickets. Advanced reservations and prepayment required by Wednesday, December 25.

To celebrate locals working in the service industry, West Shore Cafe will host “industry nights” every Monday from January 6 through the end of March featuring live music from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., a raffle benefiting a different local nonprofit each week, rotating food and drink specials and a $10 personal pizza and draft beer special. Local servers, bartenders, service, hospitality, and ski resort employees must show their paystub or business card to receive 30% off their entire bill.

Getting to Homewood has never been easier thanks to the recent completion of two new roundabouts in Tahoe City where Highway 89 meets Highway 28. The new access points provide two ingress and egress points from the west shore.
