On this day 40 years ago, Led Zeppelin would release Physical Graffiti, a double album that would symbolize the band’s high watermark of creativity and fame.
How much more can be written about this band that faced relentless criticism from music critics and many of the grown-ups in the room while going on to ascend to the top of the music world in record sales, concert attendance alongside a fervent fan base that carries and grows through generations.
Much of that success is credited to the now 71-year-old Jimmy Page, who has enjoyed the Midas Touch for most of his musical career. Today, Page releases a remastered version of Led Zeppelin’s Physical Graffiti with bonus material for the next generation of the digital age.
