The Rocklin Unified Board of Trustees recently voted to open Sunset Ranch Elementary for the 2010-2011 school year. The school is located at 2500 Bridlewood Drive in the Whitney Ranch neighborhood of Rocklin.
Jim Trimble, the current principal of Rocklin Elementary, as expected, was named the new principal of Sunset Ranch Elementary. Due to continuing budget issues, he will retain dual responsibilities at both schools for the upcoming school year.
‘I am honored and extremely excited to be given the opportunity to work with the parents of Whitney Ranch to create a learning environment where all children succeed at high levels in a safe and nurturing environment.’ stated Mr. Trimble upon his acceptance.
Local parents expressed excitement and relief upon learning of the scheduled opening. As one parent stated, “Drop-off and pick-up at Valley View is really an inconvenience. Next year will add an hour back into every day for me. As a parent that’s a huge benefit”
