Roseville, Calif. – The Placer County Transportation Planning Agency (PCTPA) and City of Roseville are offering subsidies of 50% up to $200 toward the cost of commuter bikes and eligible accessories through the 2016 Bucks for Bikes program. The goal of the program is to get commuters out of their single occupancy vehicles and using a non-polluting, traffic relieving mode of travel – bicycling.
Applications will be accepted from those who work or attend school in Placer County between February 3 and March 21, 2016.
As part of the application process, applicants must provide a quote from a bike shop located in Placer County, attend a free one-hour cycling clinic, and be willing to log all of their May cycling miles during the upcoming May is Bike Month campaign.
After successfully submitting an application, should your application be funded, the subsidy will reimburse up to 50% of the cost of the bicycle and any eligible accessories per the original quote provided or the actual costs incurred, whichever is lower and shall not exceed $200.
