Six arrested in burglaries

Placer County Sheriff deputies caught six burglars red-handed yesterday as the suspects broke into two separate homes in Meadow Vista and Applegate. All six of the burglars are from Sacramento County.

The owner of an unoccupied home on Clipper Gap Road in Applegate called the Sheriff’s Office at 8:50 a.m. Monday, to report that the home he recently inherited had three unauthorized people on the property. Deputies responded and saw a trailer in front of the residence, which turned out to be filled with property taken from the home. As deputies arrived, the three suspects were breaking out the home’s windows and two sliding-glass doors with a golf club. Damage to the windows and doors was estimated at $4,000.

Arrested were Zachary Forest Lackett, 20, of North Highlands, Christopher Elliott Walker, 18, of Sacramento, and Zeth Andrew Stuart, 23, also of North Highlands. All three were charged with burglary, conspiracy to commit a crime, and vandalism. They were booked at the Placer County Jail.

At 3:10 p.m. Monday, a deputy was checking on an unoccupied home that had recently been burglarized in the 17000 block of Placer Hills Road. Upon her arrival, the deputy saw a car backed into the home’s driveway, and suspects loading property into the vehicle. All three suspects were arrested on charges of burglary and conspiracy.

Arrested were: Theresa Lynette Schnackel, 45, of Rio Linda, Dennis Dorman, 45, of North Highlands and Kristen Karen Jacobs, 31, also of North Highlands. Schnackel was additionally charged with possession of controlled substance, methamphetamine, concentrated cannabis and paraphernalia. She was also charged with violating probation. Dorman was additionally charged with possessing meth and paraphernalia. Jacobs was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance. All three were booked at the Placer County Jail.
