Roseville, Calif.- This morning the Roseville Police Department arrested a man suspected of trying to lure a child into his vehicle yesterday afternoon.
At 5:04 p.m. yesterday (Thursday, September 29), Roseville officers responded to Catherine Gates Elementary School on Trehowell Drive, to a report that a man had tried to lure a child into his white van. Officers were unable to locate the suspect at that time, but broadcast a description to neighboring law enforcement agencies.
With the assistance of neighboring agencies, a suspect was identified and officers developed probable cause to make an arrest. Roseville officers took him into custody this morning without incident. His name will not be released at this time because of the ongoing investigation. Officers are working to determine if he is connected to other similar incidents that have been reported recently around Roseville schools.
