Sutter Medical Center Foundation New Board Members

Community members announced for Board of Trustees

Roseville, Calif. – Sutter Medical Center Foundation has announced the addition of six new community members to its Board of Trustees.

“Our new board members bring great knowledge of the community and enthusiasm to the Sutter Medical Center Foundation board. We are excited to have them as we know that Sutter Medical Center will continue to have a great presence in the community because of their efforts,” said Gregory Walaitis, Executive Director, Sutter Medical Center Foundation.

The 32-member board brings a wealth of knowledge and community service experience to the foundation. Members contribute to their communities in a variety of ways and several have either worked or volunteered at Sutter Health hospitals for decades.

Alex Castro

CEO of M Corp.

Alex Castro, a Rocklin resident, is the co-founder of M Corp, one of the nation’s fastest-growing privately owned IT companies. The company’s focus is on business strategy and technology consulting, measuring a client’s readiness to deliver on their project initiatives. His previous business endeavors have led him to build three other successful startup companies. Mr. Castro also led operations for a division of Transamerica. He graduated from Northeastern University and currently lives in Rocklin, with his two daughters.

Brian Taylor

Shareholder, Boutin Jones, Inc.

Brian Taylor’s law practice has focused nearly exclusively on health care arena for over 13 years. The Rocklin resident advises hospitals, health systems, medical foundations, IPAs, health care service plans and physician groups on a variety of business, regulatory and litigation issues.

He is highly knowledgeable about state laws and regulations concerning healthcare providers’ rights and health plans’ obligations, including California’s Knox-Keene Act, as well as the workings of state agencies that regulate insurance companies and health care service plans. Brian has handled numerous other complex business disputes including trademark, trade secret and construction matters.  Brian was accepted into Leadership Sacramento Class of 2016.  He is a member of and serves on a committee for the California Society of Healthcare Attorneys.  He also serves on the Local Missions Committee of a community church which supports various charitable organizations in the Sacramento area.  In his spare time, Brian enjoys time in Tahoe with his wife and three kids. 

Christine Dariotis

Christine Dariotis is a part-time realtor, and full-time mom and volunteer. Much of her volunteer work is focused on St. Michael’s Episcopal Day School, the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church and the Hope Gala for the American Cancer Society. Raised in Sacramento, Christine moved to San Diego for college where she attended the University of San Diego and then moved to Tahoe City before returning back to Sacramento permanently in 2003. Christine enjoys skiing, reading, cooking and traveling.  Christine is married to George Dariotis and they have one son.

Jan Rosati is a partner at Macias, Gini & O’Connell LLP, a firm offering CPA and management consultations. He has over 40 years experience helping clients deal with a broad range of business and tax issues.  He brings expertise in serving closely held, middle market businesses and pass-through entities in industries including healthcare, real estate and technology.    He went to the University of California, Berkeley for his undergraduate education, Golden Gate University for an MS-Taxation and received his law degree from the McGeorge School of Law.  Jan is married with two children and enjoys playing golf.

Chris Ann Bachtel

Chris Ann Bachtel began her trust career at Wells Fargo Bank, Santa Barbara, in 1983. Since 2002, she has become Senior Vice President and Founding Manager of First Northern Bank’s Asset Management and Trust Department. Chris Ann serves on the boards of the Crocker Art Museum, the Sutter Club, The Salvation Army, and the Marguerite Home Foundation. She is also a member of Sacramento Rotary, the Sacramento Estate Planning Council.  Formerly Chris Ann served on the Editorial Review Board for Kennedy Sinclair Company, and currently serves on the Planned Giving Committee of the Catholic Foundation, Diocese of Sacramento.  She is a graduate of Wake Forest University.
