William Jessup Honors Halldin With Faith and Service Award

Roseville, Calif. – A successful behind-the-scenes public relations person for many years, Bill Halldin uncharacteristically found himself in the spotlight recently when William Jessup University presented him its coveted Faith and Service Award.

The President of Halldin Public Relations in Roseville was honored at the third annual University Fund Dinner for his commitment to the Christian faith and education, as well as his exemplary professional, volunteer, and philanthropic service to not only William Jessup, but to the communities in South Placer County.

“I can’t say enough about all the generous contributions Bill Halldin has made to William Jessup,” said University President Bryce Jessup. “When we moved our campus to Rocklin in 2003 he was one of the first people to welcome us and volunteer his services. Bill has worked tirelessly for the University and provided expert guidance in bringing attention to our deserving students and faculty. He is a true friend of William Jessup.”

Although his average work day requires full-time attention to his clients, Halldin has managed to volunteer his services to a number of organizations and has often accepted leadership roles.

Halldin was the Rocklin Area Chamber of Commerce Chairman in 2006 and during that same time also served as President of the Sierra College Foundation’s Board of Directors. His strong commitment and guidance helped both organizations grow in stature and his dedicated fund-raising efforts led to financial growth.

“I know Bill has a thriving business and is devoted to his clients, but in the four years he has been a Chamber board member he has always gone the extra mile for us,” said Rocklin Chamber CEO Robin Trimble. “Bill’s wisdom, hard work and leadership has really made a difference.”

Halldin, who earned a Bachelor’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University and a Master’s in Business Administration from Yale University, started his public relations firm in 1999. He quickly gained a reputation for establishing a company that is very civic minded. Halldin and his five employees also provide volunteer support to Sierra College, the UC Davis Breast Cancer Endowment, the Jim Janssen Scholarship Foundation, and five area chambers.

“Often, it is through small efforts that we can make a big difference in someone’s life,” said Halldin, who serves on the Community Relations Council at William Jessup. “Partnering with William Jessup gives me personally a chance to support students who are already world-changers, but will have greater opportunities to impact our world for Christ because of their time here.”

Bill and his wife, Susan, have been married 13 years and live in Rocklin with their two children – Kathryn, 10, and Michael, 6.
