86-Year-Old Sally Tatosian Leads Inaugural MandaRIDE

4 Generations of Family Members Ride Together to Support Loomis Schools

Loomis, Calif. – Loomis resident, 86-year-old Sally Tatosian, will join five family members to lead the inaugural MandaRIDE, a fundraiser for Loomis Basin Education Foundation, on Saturday, April 28 in scenic Loomis.

Tatosian will be joined by four generations of her family: daughter Taffy Maurer, 69, granddaughter Darcie Stratton, 38, and her great grandchildren Blake Stratton, 9, Cody Stratton, 7 and Dane Stratton, 3. The MandaRIDE features a variety of routes for all ages and abilities, including 12-mile and 30-mile routes, and guided family ride. Proceeds from the event will fund fina arts and technology education in Loomis schools.

The MandaRIDE is the perfect opportunity for Sally, who rides her bike 12 miles every day, to celebrate her love for bicycle riding and support her great-grandchildren at the same time.

“Not only do I have a great love of cycling, but I think it is important that we each do what we can to ensure our local schools have what is needed to provide top-notch programs and education. Our children are our community’s future leaders,” Tatosian stated.

Registration is currently open for all bike routes. The 30 mile bike ride is $50 and includes a post-ride farm-to-fork lunch at the historic Loomis Train Station. The 12 mile bike ride is $25 and the guided family ride is $15. Check in for the MandaRIDE will open at 7 a.m. at the Loomis Elementary School located at 3505 Taylor Rd. in Loomis, CA and take place amongst the Sierra Nevada Foothills.
