Updated: The Placer County Coroner’s Office identified the driver and decedent of the collision as, Earl Andrews Galindo, 18, from Loomis.
Rocklin, Calif. – On 01/16/2016 at about 10:46 pm, officers from the Rocklin Police Department responded to a solo-vehicle injury collision in the area of Park Drive and Villa Serena Circle.
Officers arrived and unfortunately discovered the driver of the vehicle was deceased from the collision. There was a passenger in the vehicle that survived the crash and was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The lone vehicle was traveling northbound on Park Drive, when it lost control for an unknown reason and struck a tree. Investigators from Rocklin PD’s Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) are investigating the factors and the cause of the collision. The names of the decedent and passenger are being withheld at this time while family notifications are being made.Â
