Von Housen Automotive Sells 3 Mercedes-Benz Dealerships to Envision Motors

Sacramento, Calif. – Von Housen Automotive Group announces the sale of Mercedes-Benz of Sacramento, Mercedes-Benz of Rocklin and Mercedes-Benz of El Dorado Hills to Envision Motors.

George Grinzewitsch, Jr., owner of the Von Housen Automotive Group, began working in the automotive industry at the age of 12.  His father, George Grinzewitsch, became a Mercedes-Benz dealer in 1961, which then became Mercedes-Benz of Sacramento until they sold it in 2004. Since then, George Grinzewitsch, Jr. has expanded Von Housen into what it has become today. In 2002 he opened Mercedes-Benz of El Dorado Hills and Mercedes-Benz of Rocklin in 2009.  Also in 2009, George purchased Mercedes-Benz of Sacramento and brought it back into the group. By the time he was 40 he served on the Mercedes-Benz Dealer Board as Chairman and is now ending a three-year term on the Board.

George has always focused on operating Von Housen as a family business.  “I have the deepest gratitude and appreciation for the incredible people that made up the Von Housen Automotive Group team, some who were with us for over 30 years. They are truly the Best of the Best in the automotive industry.” says George Grinzewitsch, Jr, owner of Von Housen Automotive Group.

George, along with his son, George Grinzewitsch III, who served as the General Manager of Mercedes-Benz of Sacramento and Vice President of Von Housen Automotive Group, intend to remain active in business and to partner in future opportunities.

“I plan to continue my philanthropic work in the greater Sacramento area, which has been so good to us over the years,” says George Grinzewitsch, Jr. He has no plans to slow down or stop working and plans to serve another year on the Greater Sacramento Economic Council Board and to continue to operate and expand his real estate portfolio.
