David and Dolly Fiddyment Awarded for Achievements in Philanthropy

Outstanding Philanthropists Award for their lifetime achievements

Roseville, Calif. – On November 16th, 2016, the Association of Fundraising Professionals California Capital Chapter awarded David and Dolly Fiddyment with the 2016 Outstanding Philanthropists Award for their lifetime achievements in local philanthropy. The Placer SPCA nominated the Fiddyments for this prestigious award after a long history of support and service to the organization, including most recently serving as Honorary Co-Chairs on the Capital Campaign Cabinet for the Imagine the Paws-ibilities Campaign.

The Fiddyments’ tremendous support of the Placer SPCA includes donating the lead gift for the campaign as well as two and a half years of ardent fundraising and leveraging community support to help the organization raise the initial Phase One fundraising goal of $12.1 million. In addition to their extraordinary involvement in the campaign and the Placer SPCA’s new Adoption and Education Center, the Fiddyments have also continued their annual support through both individual giving and corporate giving (Fiddyment Farms) and continue to be enthusiastic ambassadors of the mission of the Placer SPCA.

The Placer SPCA is just one of several beneficiaries of the Fiddyment’s philanthropic work. In addition their dedication to animal welfare, the Fiddyments are also ardent supporters of education and the arts and are benefactors of UC Davis School of Education, UC Davis Mondavi Center, Blue Line Arts Community Projects in Roseville, the Sacramento Choral Society, the Sacramento Philharmonic, Roseville Historical Society, the Rotary Foundation, the Presbyterian Church of Roseville, P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization), Child Advocates of Placer County, and the Sun City Foundation.

The Fiddyments have a proud history of philanthropy and community-minded spirit. As a family with roots that span three generations in the Roseville area, the Fiddyments have seen unparalleled growth and an exciting transformation of our region into a popular place to live and work. Their philosophy on giving back to the community is simple – “It is the responsibility of those invested in our community to take care of those who can’t help themselves,” the Fiddyments explained in a statement.

The Placer SPCA thanks David and Dolly Fiddyment for their incredible ongoing support and generosity. The Fiddyments’ contributions to the Placer SPCA – and to the other causes and organizations they support – will have an immense and long-lasting impact on Roseville, Placer County, and the capital region for years to come.

The Placer SPCA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, not affiliated with any other entity and does not receive funding from the ASPCA or HSUS.
