Bystander struck by fleeing vehicle
The Roseville Police Department is looking for the driver of a black Audi sedan that struck a pedestrian in the 2100 block of March Road.
At about 6 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, the Roseville Police Department was called to check on a vehicle parked at the dead end of March Road, near a construction site. The black Audi sedan had been seen around the site for the past few weeks, and the driver was believed to be camping in the area. A Roseville Police officer checked the then-unoccupied sedan, and then went inside a business to talk to a witness about the vehicle.
While the officer was inside the business, a man got into the Audi and drove away toward PFE Road, striking a bystander. The bystander suffered cuts and bruises, and was taken by ambulance to Sutter Roseville Medical Center, where he was treated and released. The Audi continued without stopping and was last seen westbound on PFE Road.
The Audi driver was described as a white male in his late 20s, approximately 5’8″ to 6′ tall, with a thin build. He had shoulder-length brown hair, a mustache and goatee, and was wearing a brown jacket, black T-shirt and blue jeans.
He drove away in a black 1997 Audi four-door sedan with tinted windows, no license plates, and damage on the passenger’s side. The backseat of the vehicle was piled with clothing and other items.
