Public Input on proposed Mill Creek project in western Roseville

Environmental Review Report Prepared

AUBURN, Calif. — Placer County is seeking public input on the draft environmental review report prepared for the proposed Mill Creek project in the Dry Creek area of western Placer County. A public meeting is set for July 12.

Located on the east and west sides of Antelope Road, south of PFE Road and north of the Placer County and Sacramento County line, the proposed project involves the development of 308 single-family home sites and three parks on 110 acres. It includes 16.8 acres of open space on the east side of the site. Housing planned includes a mix of single- and two-story, detached residences on lots ranging in size from 6,000 square feet to 15,000 square feet.

Public Comment Deadline

The county has released the draft environmental impact report for the project, available for public comment until Aug 1.

As part of the county’s environmental review process, a public hearing on a draft environmental impact report is held during the public review period, which is 45 days in this instance, to encourage public comment and community participation.

A meeting will be held July 12 at 10 a.m., at the Placer County Planning Commission Hearing Room, 3091 County Center Drive, in Auburn in order to accept comments on the draft environmental impact report. The commission will not take action or consider comments on the merits of the project.

Draft EIR Public Review Locations

The draft EIR is available for public review during normal business hours at the Placer County library in Rocklin; Roseville public library; Placer County Clerk-Recorder’s Office, 2954 Richardson Drive, Auburn, CA 95603; and at the Placer County Community Development Resources Agency, 3091 County Center Drive, Suite 190, Auburn.

Comments must be received no later than 5 p.m. Aug. 1.
