Recent information from Roseville Police Department crime reports can now be viewed online on www.Crimemapping.com thanks to a generous donation from Roseville Crime Stoppers.Â
Anyone with Internet access can use Crimemapping.com, an Omega Group product, to create customized maps or reports containing information about specific types of crime in a geographic area over a period of time. The website is updated nightly with data extracted from the Roseville Police’s records management system. A 90-day history of crimes can be reviewed. The website does not display confidential information, nor does it include all police activities or requests for police response.
Police Chief Mike Blair said, “Many members of the community have requested more information about crimes in their neighborhoods. Thanks to Roseville Crime Stoppers and Crimemapping.com, we can now provide that information. When residents are well-informed, they can take appropriate precautions and help be the ‘eyes and ears’ of the police in their neighborhoods.”

Roseville Crime Stoppers is a private foundation committed to public safety in Roseville. They raise funds through private donations, chili-cook-offs, dinners, and Roseville’s annual Fourth of July “Run Crime out of Roseville” 5K run. Members of Roseville Crime Stoppers provide funds for monetary rewards for crime tips leading to arrest. Roseville Crime Stoppers also provides funds for crime prevention tools to benefit the Roseville Police Department and the citizens of Roseville.
