Roseville Pizza Delivery Drivers Robbed

Roseville, Calif. – Delivery drivers from two different local pizza parlors responded to bogus pizza delivery orders and were robbed within an hour of each other Friday night.

At 8:24 p.m. Friday, February 13, a driver from a Roseville pizza restaurant delivered a pizza in the 200 block of Irene Avenue.  As the driver approached the house where the pizza was to be delivered, he was confronted by two men. One of the men struck the driver in the head with a metal cane or crutch, and demanded money.  The driver yelled for help, and the two suspects fled on foot with the victim’s wallet. Paramedics treated the victim at the scene.

At 9:28 p.m. a driver from  another local pizza restaurant delivered a pizza to  the 400 block of Greenridge Avenue in Roseville.  The driver contacted the resident who supposedly had ordered pizza, and was told that no one had ordered pizza. As the driver returned to his car, he saw someone inside, apparently tampering with his car stereo. As the driver approached the car, a second suspect struck the driver in the face with a metal cane or crutch. The driver ran back toward the house, yelling for help, and the resident came outside. The two suspects fled without taking the victim’s property.  The victim was transported by ambulance to Sutter Roseville Medical Center, where he was treated and released.

The suspects were described as black or Hispanic males in their late teens. One was between 5’9″ and 6’0″ tall with a thin build, and the other was 5’7″ to 5’9″ tall with a thin build and a thin mustache. Both wore dark colored hooded sweatshirts and dark pants.

Anyone with information about these crimes is asked to call the Roseville Police Investigations Unit at (916)774-5070, or Roseville Crime Stoppers at (916)783-7867.  Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for cash rewards.
