Roseville Police promotions and new hires

Roseville, Calif.- At 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25, at the Tower Theater, 241 Vernon St., Police Chief Joel Neves will recognize newly promoted and newly hired employees at the Roseville Police Department’s quarterly swearing-in and awards ceremony.

Traci Skaff was promoted to the position of community services supervisor in January. Skaff joined the Roseville Police Department as a community service officer in 2000, after serving as a police services technician for the San Mateo Police Department. She has worked in both the patrol and investigations divisions, and is a member of the department’s peer support team.

Edward “Ned” Rosenbrook was promoted to the position of police lieutenant in March. Rosenbrook started his law enforcement career in 1992 as a police officer with the San Jose Police Department, and joined Roseville in 2000. He was promoted to police sergeant in 2002. Rosenbrook holds a master’s degree in business administration from San Francisco State University. He has worked on the Roseville Police Department’s Street Crimes Team, and has served as a field training officer, peer support member, and public information officer.

David Sloane was promoted to the position of police sergeant in March.  Sloane, who holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from CSUS, started his career with the City of Roseville as a Park Ranger. Sloane promoted to the position of police officer in 1998. He has served as a neighborhood police officer, field training officer, and detective.

Tyler Ward joined the Roseville Police Department as a correctional officer in February. Ward previously worked for the Boys and Girls Club of El Dorado County.

Maria Fisher joined the Roseville Police Department in February as a coordinator for the Roseville Police Activities League (RPAL). Fisher, who is fluent in both Spanish and English, earned a law degree in her native country, Peru.

Chris Gazzolo joined the Roseville Police Department as a correctional officer in March. Gazzolo holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from CSUS, and previously served the Roseville Police Department as a Police Cadet.

Eric Gobron joined the Roseville Police Department as a police officer in March after serving eight years with the Vacaville Police Department.

Mark Brazeal joined the Roseville Police Department as a police officer in March. Before coming to Roseville, Brazeal was an officer and a sergeant at the Morgan Hill Police Department. Brazel holds a bachelor’s degree in history from St. Mary’s College in Maryland.

Byron Walker and Tamra Sobodash-Kobzeff were appointed in April as volunteer reserve police officers. Walker is an account executive for Cingular Wireless and Sobodash-Kobzeff is a loss-prevention officer for Nordstrom.
