Roseville, Calif.- Acting Roseville City Manager Rob Jensen today appointed Dominick Casey as Assistant City Manager on a permanent basis, transitioning from the "acting" capacity that he had been serving in for the past several weeks.Â
Casey, the City's Parks, Recreation & Libraries Director since 2011, will be an instrumental part of the search for a new Parks, Recreation & Libraries director that will get underway immediately.
"We've all dealt with a lot of change in short order," Jensen said, referring to City Manager Ray Kerridge's auto accident and the retirement announcement that followed. "With a renewed emphasis on succession planning, we're fortunate that Dom is ready to take on this new role. Dom is a leader. Along with his proven technical and management skills, he brings to the position integrity, enthusiasm and a desire to engage with staff at all levels. These are qualities that are critical for our team. "

Casey has been the Parks, Recreation, & Libraries Director since 2011. He came to Roseville from Henderson, Nevada where he worked for 17 years, most recently serving as the Assistant Parks & Recreation Director.
Casey holds an Associate's degree in Ornamental Horticulture, a B.S. in Parks & Recreation Management and a Master's of Science in Organizational Management.
