Placer County Fair Returns to Roseville with 175th Anniversary Celebration

Celebrate 175 years of history at this year’s Placer County Fair, June 25-28

Roseville, Calif. – The County of Placer is proud to once again serve as the Presenting Sponsor of the 88th annual Placer County Fair, taking place June 25-28, 2026, @ The Grounds in Roseville.

As the county recognizes its 175th anniversary, the fair’s theme of “Past, Present and Future” appropriately matches the historical sentiment. Placer County plans to have an expansive presence with staff representing more than a dozen county departments manning booths inside the Roebbelen Center.

We’re also hosting a 360-degree video booth for participants to capture their presence at the fair, celebrating this historic milestone. All of the 360 videos will be included in a time capsule scheduled to be buried in the fall at the Historic Auburn Courthouse with an open date set for 2101, the county’s 250th anniversary. The county has also committed to sponsoring the Rib Cook-off on Sunday, June 28.

Come celebrate the county’s 175th anniversary at the fair, featuring four days of family-friendly entertainment, including carnival rides, live music, livestock exhibits, food vendors, agricultural displays, community showcases and more.

Placer County Fair schedule:

  • Thursday, June 25 (Opening Day): 5 – 11 p.m.
  • Friday, June 26: 5 – 11 p.m.
  • Saturday, June 27: Noon – 11 p.m.
  • Sunday, June 28: Noon – 11 p.m.

Placer County will be on-site throughout the fair with interactive exhibits, educational opportunities and staff available to connect with residents and visitors.

Inside the Roebbelen Center, fairgoers can visit Placer County exhibits featuring a variety of county departments, programs and services.
Thursday: Dive into our 175 years of history with our Museums team, plus visit our adoptable animals and care teams at our booths inside the Roebbelen Center on the opening night of the fair.

Friday

Connect with the Human Resources team to explore career opportunities with the county and learn about the hiring process. Visitors can also learn more about conservation and environmental stewardship efforts, as well as veteran services.

Saturday

Discover resources for local businesses and housing programs within Placer County. Staff will also have a fun game for all ages to learn about environmental utilities and our One Big Bin program. In the evening, meet our trails and parks team and learn about our Health and Human Services Department and the services we offer to residents.

Sunday

Our Museums Division returns to showcase 175 years of history, visit our Clerk-Recorder-Elections Office and see what’s new at the Air Pollution Control District. Visitors can also learn about our Health and Human Services Department during the final hours of the fair.

The Placer County Fair remains one of the largest annual events in western Placer County, bringing together thousands of residents and visitors to celebrate agriculture, community and local traditions. As Presenting Sponsor, the County of Placer is proud to support an event that showcases the people, organizations and businesses that make Placer County a great place to live, work and raise a family.
