Roseville, Calif. – As we kick off the school year, I am eager to extend a warm “Welcome back!” to all our students, families, and staff. To our incoming freshmen and new students, welcome to your high school family! No matter which RJUHSD school you attend, you are entering a supportive environment where you will have every opportunity to thrive.
The start of a new school year marks the beginning of a new chapter and we are thrilled to accompany you every step of the way. We hope you find a home here-whether it’s in theater, athletics, student organizations, among friends, in front of the classroom, behind the camera, on stage, at the 40-yard line, with drumsticks in hand, or leading with pen and paper.
Creating opportunities
At RJUHSD, our vision is to create opportunities for every student to seize in a safe, and supportive learning environment. We are committed to preparing all students for life, college, and career, working in partnership with families and the community, and remaining transparent and accountable. Join us as together we build upon school communities with a focus on student learning, activities, athletics, and performing arts.
This year, our district safety efforts center around building a “Culture of Care.” This includes practices aimed at creating secure school environments, supporting mental health, and conducting comprehensive safety drills. We will strive for partnership and ongoing communication with families and the community to highlight these efforts and what they mean for our students, staff, and school sites.
Our partnerships with emergency response systems like CatapultEMS, visitor clearance systems like Raptor Technologies, and local law enforcement agencies such as the Roseville Police Department, Placer County Sheriff’s Office, and Sacramento Sheriff’s Office will continue to be vital. These collaborations are essential in keeping student safety at the forefront as we deliver high-quality education within a culture of care.

RJUHSD is a special place because of the unique glow each of you brings to our classrooms and campuses.
