$3.9 million project will add parking, EV charging, landscaping and a new pedestrian connection between Lincoln Street and Roundhouse Row
Roseville, Calif. – A new surface parking lot will be constructed to add parking in Historic Old Town Roseville. The project site sits between the existing parking lot on the 400 block of Lincoln Street and the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) rail yard.
Construction includes the following improvements:
- 128 parking spaces, including five accessible spaces and 12 electric vehicle charging spaces
- Extension of Roundhouse Row alley that will connect Lincoln Street to the new parking lot, providing more direct pedestrian access to nearby businesses and housing.
- Lighting and landscaping throughout the parking lot and along the alley.
- The site is a former UPRR property that was acquired by the City of Roseville in January 2025.
Construction scheduled
- Construction is scheduled summer 2026 through spring 2027.
- Work hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Schedule is subject to change
Estimated Cost & Funding
Construction is estimated to cost approximately $3.9 million and is funded through the local Strategic Improvement Fund. No General Fund resources will be used for this project.
