Requirements and Deadline Information

Auburn, Calif. – Chapa-De Indian Health is proud to announce that the April Moore Memorial Scholarship is now accepting applications for the 2025-2026 academic year, with exciting new opportunities for students pursuing careers in healthcare.

This annual scholarship, originally $1,000, has been expanded to offer awards of up to $2,500 for students planning to enter the healthcare field. The scholarship honors the legacy of April Moore, a long-time Chapa-De Board President who dedicated her life to advancing American Indian communities. Eligible applicants must be from or have attended school in Placer, Nevada, Sierra, Sacramento, or El Dorado Counties in California.

"Chapa-De Indian Health is proud to continue April Moore's legacy of supporting the education and advancement of American Indian students," said Lisa Davies, CEO of Chapa-De Indian Health. "By expanding this scholarship, we are investing in the future leaders of our community and encouraging careers in healthcare, a field that is vital to the wellbeing of our region and to our mission and values."
