Kathleen McCorry Brings Chamber Leadership Experience
Veteran Chamber Leader Kathleen McCorry Named New CEO of Rocklin Area Chamber of Commerce
Rocklin, Calif – The Rocklin Area Chamber of Commerce announced today Kathleen McCorry as the organization's new Chief Executive Officer.
McCorry is an experienced professional with more than 25 years of management experience in the non-profit sector, including leadership roles at chambers of commerce in California and Washington state.
Leadership Experience
"We are thrilled to have Kathleen join the Rocklin Chamber, bringing extensive experience with several chambers of commerce," said Greg Roberson, Chair of the Chamber's Board of Directors. "We look forward to her engaging with the community as she takes on the job of leading our efforts to support local businesses."
McCorry has held leadership positions with chambers in Madera County, Mariposa County, and South County in California as well as the Greater Issaquah Chamber in Washington state. She is a graduate of the Western Association of Chamber Executives Academy.
"I'm grateful for the opportunity to lead the Chamber in one of California's premier communities," McCorry said. "Rocklin is well-known as a great place to live and do business. I am looking forward to immersing myself in the community and advocating for the businesses that make it a special place."
McCorry Follows Longtime CEO Robin Trimble
McCorry follows former Chamber CEO Robin Trimble, who retired from the top job earlier this year after leading the organization for more than 20 years.
The Rocklin Area Chamber of Commerce is well-known for producing annual premier events, including the Hot Chili & Cool Cars Festival in September, the Rocklin Tree Lighting in December and the annual State of the City each June. The chamber also runs the award-winning Leadership Rocklin program, which has been training community leaders for more than 20 years.
