Helping every Roseville student feel confident at Homecoming
Roseville, Calif. – Woodcreek High School is seeking community donations of formal dresses for its second annual Formal Wear Event, an initiative designed to help all students experience shopping for a Homecoming outfit regardless of their family's income.
Hosted by the school's Wellness Center, the event transforms a room at Woodcreek High School into a store where students can shop for formal dresses regardless of their family's income.
The Formal Wear Event will take place after school on September 16 and September 18.
Woodcreek Seeks Formal Dress Donations
Woodcreek High School is asking the community to donate current, on-trend dresses in great condition for students to choose from.
Donations are needed in all sizes, with the school particularly seeking dresses in size 14 and larger.
Community members can drop off donations at the Woodcreek High School front office between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Donations will be accepted through the event, with the final deadline at 3:30 p.m. on September 18.
The Wellness Center's goal is to make sure every Woodcreek student has the opportunity to participate in Homecoming while wearing an outfit that makes them feel comfortable, confident and excited.

Those who have a gently worn formal dress that is current and in great condition can help by donating it to Woodcreek High School.

Woodcreek Homecoming
The Formal Wear Event comes ahead of Woodcreek High School's annual Homecoming celebration.
This year's "Haunted Homecoming" will feature a Homecoming Football Game on Friday, October 2, including student-made floats and skits.
The Homecoming Dance will follow on Saturday, October 3.
For Woodcreek students, the Formal Wear Event provides an opportunity to prepare for the celebration while helping ensure that financial circumstances don't prevent students from enjoying the Homecoming experience.
Community members interested in supporting the event can make a difference simply by donating a formal dress in good condition.
