Romantic Dining on Monterey Bay

We recently enjoyed a first-rate dining experience at the Beach House during our visit to this very popular destination on the Monterey Peninsula. Upon entering, you'll be greeted by one of their incredibly friendly hosts. During busier times, cozy up to the bar for a drink and soak in the views while awaiting your table.
The host offered us a choice of seating locations; we opted for a quiet corner where we peered out to watch a group of youthful and adventurous beach-goers splash and swim along the shoreline amidst a backdrop of spectacular scenery.
Our friendly waitress arrived promptly and quickly returned after taking our drink orders.
Scrumptious Dinner
The Beach House offers a fun list of starters for seafood and vegetarians. Before the main entrée, we enjoyed some Salmon & Corn Chowder and their soft, warm bread, both of which were incredibly tasty. For the main course, my wife couldn't pass up the Grilled Filet Mignon with smashed Yukon gold potatoes, broccolini, port reduction, horseradish cream, and béarnaise butter. With seafood on my mind, I quickly honed in on the Clams & Linguine with Roasted Garlic-Olive Oil, wild rocket arugula, roasted garlic cloves, white wine, chili flakes, and extra-virgin olive oil. Both meals were packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. An insanely decadent Mud Pie somehow found its way from the dessert menu to our table to top off our meal.
