Dedication of 25 year time capsule – Opening set for 2031
Rocklin Chamber of Commerce Leadership Class and The Rocklin Historical Society to dedicate Time Capsule on July 15th, 2006
The 2006 Rocklin Chamber of Commerce Leadership class and The Rocklin Historical Society will dedicate a time capsule on July 15th from 11am – 4pm at The Rocklin Historical Society Museum, located at 3895 Rocklin Rd in Rocklin, CA.
Over 50 pieces of selected items will be placed in a time capsule and will be stored at the Historical Society until the year 2031.
The items were selected by the members of this year's leadership class and include items associated with education, arts and the media, Rocklin history, transportation, health & human services, and community service.
Christy Barros, leader of the class project comments. "We are very excited about this project and look forward to opening the capsule in 2031. With the tremendous growth of Rocklin and Placer County, it will be a good opportunity for future residents to look back at the history of their community."
