Today, City of Roseville City Manager Ray Kerridge announced the appointment of Richard Plecker as the City of Roseville's Environmental Utilities Director.
The city's Environmental Utilities Department operates Roseville's municipally owned water, wastewater, recycled water and solid waste utility services.
Plecker, a 22-year Roseville resident, was previously vice president of MWH Americas Inc. in Sacramento and before that served as the general manager of the Fair Oaks Water District as well as the director of public works and city engineer for the City of Auburn.
"Rich brings an entrepreneurial approach to solving problems and he is a strategic thinker known for his friendly, team-oriented personality which will help lead the department into the future," said Kerridge. "With immediate challenges like managing the drought, to longer term challenges like increasing regulatory requirements and ever increasing costs, Rich brings the ability to strategically guide the organization through these challenges and continually improve utility services that the City of Roseville provides."
