Recreational Surf and Hospitality Destination in Placer One
Roseville, Calif.- The Placer County Planning Commission has approved plans for the Alchemy Surf Resort, a new recreational surf and hospitality destination planned within the Placer One development.Â
The project, proposed by Inland Surf Company, will center around a 5-acre surf lagoon and include a variety of activities, a hotel, dining and gathering spaces.
"Alchemy Surf Resort represents another step in the development of the Placer One area and adds a new recreational and hospitality use to the mix of uses planned for west Placer," said Placer County Planning Director Chris Pahule. "The project has gone through the county's planning and review process, and the approved plans provide a framework for the applicant to provide a unique recreational destination business to the community."
Plans call for a 100-room hotel, bungalows and a 28,390-square-foot surf center.
Resort will also feature:Â

- Outdoor skate plazaÂ
- Children's playgroundÂ
- Beaches and activity areasÂ
- Spas and cold plungesÂ
- An action sports hub with trampolines, climbing walls, indoor skate facilities and moreÂ
- Side shore hubs with food and beverage services, incidental retail, member services and gathering areasÂ
The resort will be part of the larger Placer One development in west Placer County. Placer One is approved with a mix of residential, open space, schools, commercial, town center, businesses, parks, and other amenities along with the future Sacramento State Placer Center and a county forensics lab.
Inland Surf Company is aiming to break ground in the spring of 2027.
