The Top 10 Reasons We Love Roseville list is really a collective "we." Those who share our love of this city enjoy living here for many of the same reasons we do. For a multitude of reasons, Roseville is the brighter side of Placer County. Welcome!

Top 10 reasons Roseville is among best places to live in America ♥
1: Trails & Open Spaces
An example of more intelligent development planning is the way Roseville provides an expanding network of trails for its residents. Each new development adds to and connects with a paved trail system that fits together like a never-ending jigsaw puzzle. Shared by cyclists, walkers and nature enthusiasts, the more than 40 miles of trails (and growing!) weave throughout the city, effectively bringing together neighborhoods, parks and open spaces. Well done, Roseville!
Great egrets, flocks of turkeys, grazing goats and other resident animals rely on Roseville's open spaces for habitat and survival. Vernal ponds and creeks help nourish these open spaces while providing food and shelter for our fellow creatures.

2: City Services
Roseville is the only full-service city in the region and is among an elite group of such cities in California. Residents enjoy a well-maintained and exceptionally cared-for community, something that is evident in the clean local parks, open spaces and public areas. They also benefit from safe, reliable and less expensive electricity.
In our personal experience, we've witnessed a city government that is more responsive to its citizens than those in most communities. That's not so common. Kudos, Roseville!
3: Sunniest City on Planet Earth (4 months)
We love the heat of summer, the evening chill of autumn nights, the mild rains of winter and the technicolor of spring. Consistent and often predictable year in and year out, Roseville-area weather is spectacular on many fronts.
If warm sunshine, low humidity and generally mild weather are your thing, and adverse weather conditions are not, Roseville ranks among the best places in America. In fact, Roseville sits within the Sacramento metropolitan region, which is ranked as the sunniest metropolitan area on the planet from June through September!

4: Location, Location, Location
Looking at a map of California, you'll be hard-pressed to find a city more conveniently located for those who enjoy exploring the bounty of the Golden State. Whether it's exploring the Sierra Nevada foothills, taking a day trip to majestic Lake Tahoe, visiting the San Francisco Bay Area or venturing farther afield, Roseville's location provides a convenient home base.
Nearby Sacramento International Airport adds even more convenience, with easy access to destinations near and far. Local residents love to travel, and Roseville's location definitely sits in a sweet spot!!
5: Diversity Driving Success and Prosperity
Fresh ideas, alternative perspectives and diverse backgrounds and beliefs continue to drive our region's prosperity and success. An influx of highly educated residents and people from different cultures has helped create a more contemporary, forward-thinking Roseville and Placer County.
Diversity adds richness and depth to our community, creating new opportunities, ideas and perspectives while helping shape an even brighter future.

6: Public School System
In our experience, from elementary and middle school through high school, we've found the Roseville public school system to be staffed and managed by many extraordinary individuals. We've discovered a culture of integrity and inclusion, along with exemplary programs for students with disabilities and special needs.
We've also seen that caring and acceptance extend beyond the classroom and into the student body, reflected in how students interact with one another outside the school environment.
A huge shout-out of gratitude to Cooley Middle School and Woodcreek High School! How a community treats its marginalized members remains one of the true measures of what makes a great community.
7: Pragmatic Governance
The most desirable places to live in California and elsewhere often share one thing in common, regardless of the political leanings of their residents. Pragmatic and balanced governance, rather than rigid or cult-like subservience to political parties, helps communities find solutions that deliver practical benefits for everyone.
In our view, Roseville has done an standout job in this regard, and it's one of the reasons we believe the community has become the epicenter—and a key part of the future—of Placer County.
Welcome to the brighter side!
8. Crime: Facts Over Fear
Once you step away from political propaganda, cable news, and talk radio, residents quickly realize that the fear being sold rarely comports with reality. According to Roseville Police Department data, residents are safer today than they were decades ago.
On a per-capita basis, both Roseville's violent crime and property crime rates are lower than they were nearly 30 years ago, despite significant population growth.

9: Downtown Revival
Not that long ago, Downtown Roseville belied a sleepy, small town American community vibe. It was quiet, stark, and mostly devoid of much commercial and pedestrian activity. Businesses and visitors mostly stayed away.
Today, following an aggressive, multi-year plan and ongoing capital improvements, Downtown Roseville has become a thriving hub of the community. Offering a growing list of entertainment, dining and recreation opportunities, the area continues to attract new investments that have helped bring back residents and tourists for year-round fun!

10: Dining & Entertainment Scene
The region's dramatic population growth and diversity have spiced up the local dining scene with an incredible assortment of creative and ethnic eateries that serve a growing population that loves to dine out! Residents no longer need to head out of town for incredibly scrumptious dining experiences. From high end chains and boutique eateries to affordable food trucks, happy diners are keeping more of their tax dollars local!
The Roseville area's entertainment scene is also blossoming. Opportunities that encompass all ages, tastes, and budgets abound throughout the year! From the Placer County Fair to festivals and city sponsored events there's much to do. Local area craft brew pubs have also become a destination in their own right with an ever-growing reputation for top quality brews.
From free summer concerts in the park to Old Town nightclubs & dancing along with abundant citywide activities for the younger crowd, there truly is something for everyone!
