Subject of six public meetings scheduled for January
Roseville, Calif.- At its December 20 meeting, the Roseville Independent Redistricting Commission selected six maps from the 23 submitted by the public to be part of the final public review before a final map is chosen.
High resolution versions and detailed demographic information is available for each of the final draft maps at Roseville.ca.us/redistricting.
"We believe this final set of maps reflects the public input we've received to this point and offers some real choices," said Paul Frank, Independent Redistricting Commission Chair. "I encourage residents of Roseville to review these maps and provide your input to the Commission."
Public Meetings
Six public meetings will be held in January at five different locations around the city to get further public input on the final set of maps.
- 6 p.m., Thursday, January 6 at the Maidu Community Center, 1550 Maidu Drive
- 6 p.m., Tuesday, January 11, in the City Council Chambers, 311 Vernon Street
- 6 p.m., Thursday, January 13, at the Mike Shellito Indoor Pool, 10210 Fairway Drive
- 2 p.m., Saturday, January 15, in the City Council Chambers, 311 Vernon Street
- 6 p.m., Tuesday, January 18, at the Martha Riley Library, 1501 Pleasant Grove Blvd
- 6 p.m., Thursday, January 20, at St. John's Episcopal Church, 2351 Pleasant Grove Blvd
Final selection slated for January 24
The Independent Redistricting Commission is comprised of community members and is empowered to adopt the new district boundaries without City Council approval.
The final map will be selected at the January 24 Independent Redistricting Commission public meeting. It will outline the boundaries for the five Roseville City Council districts until 2031.
