Deadheads gather at Cinemark Roseville Galleria for a legendary 1991 Giants Stadium performance on the big screen
Roseville, Calif. – Deadheads from throughout Placer County will gather at Cinemark Roseville Galleria August 8 & 10, 2026 and Folsom Cinemark Aug 8th for the annual Grateful Dead Meet-Up at the Movies, featuring a legendary 1991 Giants Stadium concert experience on the big screen.
This year's Grateful Dead Meet-Up at the Movies features a June 17, 1991 performance at New Jersey's Giants Stadium before a sold out crowd of over 60,000 dancing heads. With 14 performances at Giants Stadium, the Grateful Dead rank among the venue's most frequent performers, trailing only Bruce Springsteen and tied with Bon Jovi for the second-most shows.
Fan favorite of the era
The Grateful Dead's storied career includes several resurgent eras and standout shows. This one has become a fan favorite of the early 90's era when Bruce Hornsby and Vince Welnick joined the tours following the previous year's death of Concord native, Brent Mydland.
The show clocks in around 3 hours and catches the Dead at one of their high watermarks for their latter years. The Grateful Dead's '91 Summer Tour is listed as the highest grossing tour of the year.
