Neighbors Helping Neighbors: Holiday Giving with Feeding the Foothills

Community-of neighbors helping neighbors

Roseville, Calif. – As we enter the season of giving, the holiday spirit reminds us of the importance of community-of neighbors helping neighbors, and lifting each other up in times of need. Here at Feeding the Foothills (formerly Placer Food Bank), this sense of community drives our mission.

With the holidays just around the corner, we are calling on all of you to join us in making a difference for families across El Dorado, Nevada, and Placer counties.

How to Help Your Neighbors:

Volunteer Your Time

From sorting donations to helping at our PantryToGo distributions, your time can make a significant impact on the lives of families in our area. Click here to learn about volunteer opportunities.

Donate Through Our Online Fund and Food Platform

We've made it easier than ever to give. You can now donate food or funds directly through our online platform- Online Fund + Food Drive – where every dollar is particularly impactful because it allows us to purchase food in bulk, ensuring that we can stretch each dollar to its fullest potential.

Share Our Mission on Social Media

Follow us on social media and share our posts with your networks, just search @FeedingtheFoothills on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Every share raises awareness of our local hunger crisis and encourages others to get involved.

If You Need Support

For those struggling this holiday season, please know that Feeding the Foothills is here for you. Our PantryToGo program offers free food distributions throughout Placer and El Dorado counties, ensuring that everyone has access to nutritious meals. Visit our website for more information on distribution locations and schedules, or call our team for assistance.

A New Name, the Same Mission

As we move forward with our new name-Feeding the Foothills-we remain deeply committed to serving our community with the same care and compassion we've always upheld. With your help, we will continue to nourish our neighbors and create lasting change across the Sierra Nevada foothills.

Whether through your time, your donations, or simply by spreading the word, you can make a difference in the lives of families this holiday season.

With heartfelt thanks,
Dave Martinez
