Placer Breast Cancer Foundation Supports Roseville Cancer Patients

New funding expands recovery services and patient support at two Roseville medical centers

Roseville, Calif. – Breast cancer patients in Roseville will have greater access to services that support recovery, emotional well-being, and quality of life through an investment by Placer Breast Cancer Foundation in Sutter Roseville Medical Center Foundation and Kaiser Permanente Roseville Medical Center programs.

The collaboration will help provide a range of services and resources designed to support patients' physical and emotional well-being during their cancer journey.

Sutter Roseville to Expand Cancer Rehabilitation Services

"As a breast cancer survivor, I know firsthand how important support is throughout treatment, recovery and beyond," said Carol Garcia, chair of the Placer Breast Cancer Foundation. "We're proud to support Sutter Roseville Medical Center Foundation and Kaiser Permanente Roseville and their work to care for women in our community. We hope this helps more patients access the care and resources they need."
At Sutter Roseville Medical Center, patients will have greater access to oncology rehabilitation and lymphedema services that help address side effects and physical challenges related to cancer and its treatment. These services can help patients regain strength, improve mobility, and support recovery after treatment.

Kaiser Permanente Patients to Receive Wigs and Head Coverings

"We're incredibly grateful to the Placer Breast Cancer Foundation for its commitment to supporting patients in our community," said Tammy Powers, chief executive officer of Sutter Roseville Medical Center and a member of the Sutter Roseville Medical Center Foundation board of trustees. "This generous gift will help strengthen services that support patients through recovery and beyond, helping them regain strength and move forward after cancer treatment."

The Placer Breast Cancer Foundation funds will provide wigs and other head coverings to patients in Kaiser Permanente Roseville's oncology department who are experiencing hair loss during their cancer journey.

"We know cancer can be physically and emotionally challenging," said Manpreet Sidhu, MD, interim chief of oncology at Kaiser Permanente Roseville. "We are grateful for the support from the Placer Breast Cancer Foundation, which will help our patients by providing them with the care and resources, they need to build their confidence as we help them through their treatment journey."

This effort builds on the Placer Breast Cancer Foundation's work to support breast cancer education, awareness, and care throughout the region.
