Kaiser Permanente in Roseville names Jordan Herget as Senior VP

New executive named for Kaiser Permanente in Roseville

Roseville, Calif.- Jordan Herget, a health-care executive with more than 13 years of senior leadership experience in multiple health systems, has been named senior vice president and area manager for Kaiser Permanente’s Roseville service area.

He was most recently with Verity Health System where he served as president and chief executive for two Bay Area hospitals: O’Connor in San Jose and St. Louise Regional in Gilroy. He was responsible for driving operational performance for clinical care, quality, service, and affordability while establishing and driving a focused market strategy.

“I’m extremely pleased to join Kaiser Permanente, which is well-known as a national leader in integrated care delivery, preventative health, advanced information technology and high-quality affordable health care,” Herget said.

“I’m eager to work with our talented employees and physicians who serve our growing membership and help improve the health of the entire community across the Roseville service area.”

Prior to his time with Verity Health System, Herget worked for HCA Healthcare where he held positions of increasing responsibility, including director of managed care financial services and senior leadership positions at hospitals in Alaska, Idaho, Oklahoma, and California. He was chief operating officer of Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose. Before joining HCA Healthcare, Herget worked as a senior consultant for Ernst and Young Healthcare Consulting where he managed projects for clients including Kaiser Permanente, Catholic Healthcare West, Sutter Health, and Stanford Medical Center.

Herget, 46, has established a successful track record in service line development, development of strategic affiliations, and execution of strategic capital projects.

At Kaiser Permanente, Herget is responsible for the healthcare services of nearly 330,000 members as well as administration of the 340-bed Roseville Medical Center. He also oversees health plan services, hospital operations, and services provided to members outside of the hospital setting, such as continuing care, pharmacy, and health plan regulatory services.

In addition, he partners with The Permanente Medical Group, Kaiser Permanente’s exclusive medical group which has 653 physicians at medical facilities in Roseville, Lincoln and Folsom.

“As Kaiser Permanente continues to be the health care provider of choice to the community, I look forward to partnering with Jordan to ensure we remain competitive in the market while providing the exceptional care our members have come to expect,” said Chris Palkowski, MD, physician-in-chief, Roseville.

Herget is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. He holds a Master’s degree in Health Finance and Management from the John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and a Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University.

He lives in Davis with his wife Julie and three children: Jackson, 20; Miles, 19; and Cecily, 16.
