December 2 at New Location
Sacramento, Calif.- The North Sacramento Chamber of Commerce, which was established in 1923, has partnered with the Vida De Oro Foundation to bring this year's annual tree lighting to a new location in North Sacramento.
After holding its annual tree lighting holiday event for numerous years at the ICELAND Skating Rink, where kids skated free of charge, the North Sacramento Chamber of Commerce will be holding this year's event at the Vida De Oro Foundation's location, situated inside the historic Wonder Bread building.
"It's our partners and non-profits who bring kids to the event and help us reach families in need."

The event is free of charge and open to the public.
The change in venue is due to ICELAND Skate Rink being closed to replace its roof, which burnt down several years ago. As a result, free food and a Christmas Tree Raffle for parents that enter the drawing is being offered over the ice skating opportunity usually offered. Plus will offer photos with Santa, hot cocoa, cookies, and other fun prizes.
"We cannot do this alone, but it's possible trough the generosity of our members and sponsors that we can assemble and fill 300 goodie bags for children that Santa hands out," says Franklin Burris, Executive Director for the North Sacramento Chamber of Commerce. "It's our partners and non-profits who bring kids to the event and help us reach families in need, members like Stanford Settlement, Roberts Family Development Center, and Twin Rivers Unified School District.
Tree Lighting
The Tree Lighting is planned for this Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Vida De Oro Foundation/U-Haul 1324 Arden Way, Sacramento, CA 95815, and is being supported by City Councilmember Sean Loloee, Kimmie Candy Company, McClellan Park, North Sacramento Rotary Club, SMUD and the Vida De Oro Foundation.
