Inaugural Downtown Napa Event Will Commemorate Anniversary

Napa, Calif., – The City of Napa is the premier wine country destination where visitors can experience a car-free, totally walkable wine weekend. This year, the city will be raising a toast in honor of its 175th anniversary. In celebration of this milestone, the city has announced its inaugural event, The Napa Table, taking place Saturday, June 11th.

Beginning at 5:00 p.m., the gathering begins with guests attending one of two receptions. The first, hosted by Sky & Vine rooftop bar at Archer Hotel, will feature pizza from Oenotri and sushi from Eiko’s Restaurant, both enjoyed alongside premium Napa Valley wines or a specialty craft cocktail. The second reception is a VIP experience at Mia Carta Tasting Room Collective, which will have freshly shucked oysters on the half-shell from Hog Island Oysters, fare from The Bounty Hunter, and delectable small-production wines.

300-person dining table

At 6:00 p.m. visitors will move to an exciting 300-person dining table stretching on First Street from Randolph to Coombs Street in Downtown Napa. The meal will feature popular and eclectic menu items representing the destination’s world-class food scene. The first course includes a crunchy iceberg wedge from Cole’s Chop Housefollowed by a cup of chilled summer soup from Kitchen Door. The main course will feature paella del dia from Zuzu, duck fat fries from Compline, and a summer salad from Norman Rose Tavern.

Afterparties

Brandy House

“On our 150th anniversary, nobody knew who Napa was,” said Connie Anderson, chair of the 175th Anniversary program. “Since then, we’ve done a tremendous job introducing Downtown Napa to the rest of the world and distinguishing ourselves from the vineyards up the valley. Now that we’re on the map, we’re going to throw a party to remember for many years to come.”
